UK accelerators are miles ahead of European counterparts with €15.5m invested last year

The UK helped more startups and invested more capital than any other European country last year—and ranked third in the world behind the US and Canada. A 55% increase on its 2015 investment put the UK ahead of Spain, which ranked second in Europe with a total of €7.5m invested in participating start-ups, according to the latest European Accelerator Report from Gust. Julia Watts shares here some of the details from this and other reports showing how accelerators have increased in recent years to support the growing number of startups in the UK.
